Duravit has been selected by Owl Design to feature in The Future Living Home. The Future Living Home is one of the homes featured within this year’s Show Village created as a modular space and designed around slow living, sustainability and simple pleasures.

A number of Duravit products have been used within the bathroom, including a large chrome showerhead, and shower controls from the C.1 series that enables a regulated flow of water to tumble down onto the Stonetto Anthracite shower tray below.

Darker tones are used throughout the bathroom in The Future Living Home, from their Happy D.2 Plus range created by sieger design; A contemporary wall hung WC and washbowl in Anthracite are complimented by a vanity unit in Super Graphite Matt.

Organic shapes and natural tones are key design elements and the accessories that have been included within the bathroom and have been designed by Philippe Starck exclusively for Duravit.

Simone Gordon – Owl Design commented “We chose to partner with Duravit, as they are one of the leading international manufacturers of designer bathrooms. They are well known for their innovation and beautiful timeless designs, which not only look great but have comfort-enhancing technology and are made to a premium quality.

Asked why Owl Design chose Duravit’s products, Simone answered “With a wide range of striking designs by renowned designers such as Philippe Starck, EOOS, Phoenix Design, sieger design, Kurt Merki Jr., Christian Werner, Matteo Thun and Cecilie Manz, we were spoilt for choice when it came to choosing the products to fit the design.

“The brief for the Future living home was to create interiors which not only function well now, but well into the future and to look forward to how we aspire to live. For the bathroom, we wanted to create a luxurious spa-like feeling, which steered away from the typical bathroom designs we know and love. The key products which helped us achieve this look were WC and sink from the Happy D.2 range, in black, paired with black accessories and a large Stonetto shower tray big enough for two. Double showers are often seen as a luxury, both for those who never use a tub a double shower could easily replace the tub to elevate your bathroom!”
