Inspired by nature the Luv bathroom range, designed by Cecilie Manz features organic forms and matte lacquers and glazes in soft shades that exude a sense of well-being. Today we hear how the pieces work together to deliver Nordic minimalism with timeless elegance.

Tailored design options
Whether minimalist or elegant – the design language of the series allows individually tailored design options to be brought to life. Below we show how the design style has been interpreted in various ways, for example in the projects Twelve Senses Retreat, Walzmühle site loft houses, Strandridergården, Burghotel Falkenstein, and Villa Copenhagen.

Although these projects could not be more different, what unites them is the aspiration to deliver an outstanding quality of design that offers the residents and guests a unique living experience. The pared-down elegance of the Luv bathroom range is the foundation of the characteristic style of the individual design projects.

Sheer cosiness
The ambience of Luv engenders a sense of well-being, which the Danish designer Cecilie Manz describes as “sheer cosiness”. “Natural, uncomplicated, and unobtrusive” – this feeling is enhanced by the generation of colours she designed exclusively for Duravit with matte lacquers and glazes in soft shades.

Inspired by nature
“There’s a piece of nature within Luv”, Cecilie Manz. The aesthetic of a pebble partly inspired the range smoothed to a round shape by sea currents and the sand. Gentle forms follow a stringent geometry.

Loft houses on the site of the former “Walzmühle” mill
The design and construction by Mia Kepenek and her team (Kepenek GmbH) has breathed new life into the former factory hall in the form of eight generously proportioned, expressively styled lofts, each fitted with Duravit products from the Luv series.

In addition to the freestanding model, Luv bathtubs are also available as a back-to-wall or corner version. The Luv above-counter basins for double washing areas create a consistent and harmonious overall picture.

Strandridergården
Oval above-counter basins combined with console tables and striking oval bathtubs: Luv products were fitted throughout the Strandridergården building in Copenhagen as an ideal match to the classically modern interior.

The Luv vanity unit with quartz console and the illuminated mirror enhance the exquisite style of the building.

Villa Copenhagen
Villa Copenhagen is an extraordinary hotel created by the Nordic Choice hotel group created in the Danish capital. The freestanding bathtub is an excellent match to the building’s stylish ambience.

Burghotel Falkenstein:
The gourmet hotel impresses thanks to its extraordinary location, distinguished cuisine and sophisticated interior design – which in the bathroom includes a freestanding bathtub and breathtaking views.
