Almond Satin Matt has been created specifically for Duravit by Danish designer Cecilie Manz, her minimalist design language invokes the Scandinavian concept of living with a sense of wellbeing. Carefully conceived materials appeal to the sense of touch emphasise the gentle forms and strict geometry of the Luv range. Perfectly harmonized colour combinations help complete the overall picture.

This is reflected in the new furniture colour Almond Satin Matt; its warm yet restrained effect opens up a wide range of design options.  The washing area can be tuned to individual tastes with one of the four different console surfaces, made from quartz or solid wood.

The oval DuraCeram® wash bowls are now available in a five sizes (420, 500, 600, 700 and 800 mm) with four different outer surfaces for greater individualization.   Extra furniture widths have been added: a fourth new width of 938 mm, with an optional pull-out compartment or an additional drawer for storage, now joins the three existing vanity units.

Luv’s authentic design continues with the matching mirrors, these are now larger and have new additional features. In addition to the three existing widths (500, 1200, 1600 mm), a further width of 800 mm has been added to accommodate the new vanity unit size. In future all Luv mirrors will be available in heights of 800 or 1200 mm. The heated mirror and new switching function for coloured light can be controlled via a contactless operating panel, enabling the continuous adjustment of the light colour for the upper illuminated area and ambient light.

Bathtubs in the Luv series are an eyecatching choice for any bathroom, whether as a freestanding model for positioning anywhere in the room or a back-towall or corner version with an optional discreetly integrated air whirl system. Mirroring the shape of the wash bowls, their sophisticated aesthetic is a perfect accompaniment to the overall look of the series.

Utopia Bathrooms is increasing the appeal of its popular Roseberry range of painted timber bathroom furniture with the addition of two new colourways and five new handles.

Rose Quartz is a very delicate shade of pink which looks stunning as both a stand alone finish or teamed with the existing London Grey or Dove Grey shades. The new Emerald Green finish is a rich, vibrant shade of green which perfectly enhances the woodgrain detail of Roseberry.

Richard Shore, Head of Design at Utopia Bathrooms, comments “Our new colours are right on-trend this year and also work perfectly with our existing heritage shades. We expect Rose Quartz and Emerald Green to appeal particularly to a younger customer demographic, keen to experiment with luxury finishes and design.”

The Roseberry collection is a modern interpretation of traditional luxury painted timber furniture, featuring a classic raised and fielded door. It is spray painted to the customer’s specification at Utopia’s manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton. The range is available in fitted, wall mounted and free standing configurations to suit all types, sizes and styles of bathroom.

In addition to the new colours, Utopia is introducing five more options to the collection of authentic handles specifically designed to complement the Roseberry range. A classic bar and knob are available in both brushed steel and matt black, while a pewter knob completes the new styles.

Commenting on the additions to Roseberry, Helen Clark, Utopia’s Head of Marketing, said “Since the launch of our Roseberry Collection in 2016, it has fast become one of our best selling furniture collections and we are confident that the new introductions will further enhance its appeal.”

Utopia Bathrooms

Utopia Bathrooms has announced that its major product launch for Spring/Summer 2020 is now set to be unveiled.

Colour and texture are key to this latest product launch. Reflecting the vital role colour plays in any environment and particularly in our bathrooms, seven new foil finishes are being introduced across several of Utopia’s furniture collections, along with two stunning new colours to extend the colour palette for the heritage-inspired Roseberry painted timber collection. In addition to the new colours and finishes, there are significant additions and upgrades across several of the collections plus a striking collection of new handles including fabulous matt black options for the first time.

Anticipating trends for both colour and finish, the seven new foil finishes are Azure Blue, Blush, Sea Green, Storm Grey, Silver Fusion, Pewter Fusion and Burnt Copper, all available across the Original Fitted, YOU, iLine, Symmetry and Geo ranges. Silver Fusion and Pewter Fusion have a lightly textured surface appearance giving visual depth to the colours while Burnt Copper has a tactile metallic finish. Four of the new colours – Blush, Sea Green, Azure Blue and Storm Grey – feature a brand new and highly innovative super matt, soft touch foil finish.

Helen Clark, Head of Marketing, comments “Innovation is the life blood of our business so we are particularly pleased that our new product development programme lost none of its creative impetus during the lockdown. We’re so proud of our team for delivering a whole world of exciting new products and colours on time and against this challenging background. In a way, it feels more than a product launch, it’s our way of demonstrating that it’s business as usual at Utopia, manufacturing beautiful bathrooms all designed and made here in the UK.”

Bette’s baths and washbasins win awards for their stylish designs, but they offer much more than good looks.  They are made from glazed titanium-steel, which uses only natural materials in its production, and they are so strong, durable, and easy to clean that they come with a 30-year warranty. They are scratch-proof and resistant to cosmetics and bath additives – even nail polish will not leave a mark. What’s more, Bette products are available in over 400 colours and when they do, eventually, reach the end of their life, they are 100% recyclable.

Bette baths come in freestanding, built-in and semi-recessed designs, in a wide range of sizes, including many for small bathrooms. Its washbasins are a perfect match, made of the same durable, easy to clean and sustainable glazed titanium-steel.

BettePond Silhouette Circular bath

Bette’s latest baths include the freestanding, circular BettePond Silhouette, the built-in circular BettePond (pictured left) and the re-designed BetteForm: a stylish, built-in bath that delivers all the benefits of its glazed titanium-steel at a lower price (picture bottom left).

The BetteForm bath has been completely re-designed to feature contemporary styling, a wider, more comfortable backrest and more standing room, when used as a shower-bath. The strength of the Bette glazed titanium-steel also means that the bath is able to feature a very slim, stylish rim, while still being extremely strong, and the metal construction enables almost right-angled corners, so the bath fits into a tiling pattern. It is available in 12 sizes from 1400 × 700 mm to 1900 × 800 mm, with a depth of 420 mm, providing a wide range of options for bathrooms of all sizes.

Comments Bette UK Country Manager, Samantha Lewis: “The re-designed BetteForm is a high quality, contemporary fitted bath for a price comparable to many non-steel baths.  It provides retailers with the opportunity to trade up and offer their customers the lasting good looks, 30-year warranty and eco-credentials of a Bette bath.”

Duravit has reported in 2019, that despite low global economic growth, the Group’s total revenues were up by 4.8% (€486.8 million) at year end. Net profits increased by more than 20% year on year. Duravit confirm its solid balance sheethas put the company in an ideal position to continue on its successful course once the Covid-19 pandemic has been overcome.

During 2019 Duravit secured its market position in Germany. China produced the highest revenue growth with 20%. A strong result in Egypt also contributed to the positive development of the business. In Europe, key sales markets such as Switzerland and Spain generated above-average revenue growth alongside Germany.

The introduction of a new SensoWash® generation produced especially dynamic growth in the showertoilet segment. The SensoWash® Starck f combines iconic design with maximum comfort and was met with an immediate and lasting positive response.

Duravit enjoyed gains in other product areas. Two new high-end series developed in collaboration with sieger design again raised the bar for exclusive bathroom design. The faucet business also did extremely well. The sanitary ceramics business was also up, and the private label business, with a share of less than 2% of overall revenues, made a positive contribution to the development of key business relationships.

Successor to Prof. Richter agreed
