The row washbasin from HEWI was awarded the “German Innovation Award – Winner 2022” in the category “Excellence in Business to Business – Building & Elements”.
The HEWI row washbasins encourage children to wash hands thanks to the cheerful colours. The built-in height and depth gradation adapts optimally to a smaller anatomy. Rounded corners and edges protect children from impacts and support the accessibility of the fittings. An integrated baffle disc invites playful exploration of water.
The washbasins are also easy to clean and hygienic. Even acrylic and finger paints can be removed from the non-porous surface without leaving any residue.

The German Innovation Award is awarded by the German Design Council. It distinguishes products, solutions, and services across all sectors. Award-winning solutions are characterised by their added value compared with previous products and their orientation towards the users.
The jury of the German Innovation Awards is made up of experts from industry, science, and finance. The submissions are evaluated based on three criteria: level of innovation, user benefits, and economic efficiency.
