Virtual Worlds has recruited seven new team members for its modelling and cataloguing teams in order to get products on to the system faster. Retailers are also being encouraged to report any issues they find.

The improved process adds a newly developed ‘rule-based’ quality control system to deliver a faster turnaround before the catalogue is released in beta format, resulting in quicker access to new products for Virtual Worlds users.

Retailers can opt-in to the Beta catalogues program simply by updating their download settings and are being asked to report any issues Virtual Worlds can address them before the full catalogue release, improving the service overall for all Virtual Worlds customers.

“We are aware of how important it is to have the latest manufacturer products available within Virtual Worlds,” comments Managing Director Nathan Maclean. “We have been working on ways to get updates to our customers more quickly, including investing in staff infrastructure, to make the process faster. Once we are happy that the catalogue process is robust, the beta program will be shut down and transitioned as our new standard in releasing better quality catalogues within a shorter timeframe.”
