PJH is proud to celebrate its continued partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, setting an ambitious new fundraising target of £15,000. Building on the success of previous efforts, PJH has already made significant strides towards this goal, having not only met but exceeded its original £10,000 target, thanks to the dedication of its staff across the UK.

The company’s fundraising programme is driven by creative initiatives led by employees nationwide. Notable achievements include a Coast to Coast cycle challenge undertaken by Nicola Price, depot manager at PJH’s Thirsk site, and John Travis, solutions delivery manager at the Bolton site. Together, they cycled 127 miles from Workington in the Lake District to Sunderland in Tyne & Wear, raising an impressive £1,000.

At PJH’s Cannock site, warehouse supervisor Stephen Lloyd took on the challenging Ultra White-Collar Boxing (UWCB) event in Wolverhampton. A boxing novice, Stephen trained for eight weeks before stepping into the ring, raising over £400 for the cause.

In addition to these headline events, PJH employees have hosted a range of engaging activities, including bake sales, Fantasy Football leagues, Strictly Come Dancing sweepstakes and festive occasions such as Christmas jumper days. The Macmillan Coffee Morning remains a key event, with staff from all sites contributing home-baked goods, raising substantial funds and fostering a strong sense of community within the company.

Kim Cooper, PJH’s head of marketing & product, reflected on the company’s efforts, saying: “We’re thrilled with the success of our ongoing partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and the fantastic response from our colleagues. Macmillan’s work is essential for so many individuals and families, and we are proud to play our part. With a target of £15,000, we’re excited to build on our success and make an even greater impact.”

Having already raised over 33% of its £15,000 goal, PJH is well on track. The company is committed to matching every £1 raised by colleagues up to £10,000. With exciting initiatives planned and a team that remains as passionate as ever, PJH is confident it will exceed its target, continuing to support Macmillan in providing life-changing services to those who need them most.
