LIXIL, a leader in water and housing products, has been recognised in the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for the sixth consecutive year, achieving its highest score ever. This inclusion underscores the company’s robust sustainability strategies, with GROHE’s initiatives playing a key role in supporting LIXIL’s broader Impact Strategy.

LIXIL’s score of 83/100 places it at the top of the Building Products industry for the first time, based on an evaluation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.

The DJSI World, an esteemed global benchmark for evaluating companies’ sustainability practices, selected LIXIL from over 13,000 companies worldwide that participated in the 2024 assessment. This recognition also marks LIXIL’s eighth consecutive year listed in the DJSI Asia Pacific.

LIXIL’s commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by its focus on responsible sourcing and its partnership with IntegrityNext since 2022. The collaboration strengthens its due diligence processes to meet the requirements of the German Supply Chain Act by ensuring high human rights and environmental standards when selecting new suppliers.

GROHE’s sustainability efforts are also evident in its CO2 reduction achievements. In 2020, all eight LIXIL International fittings plants and German logistics centres, including those of GROHE, attained CO2 neutrality. The company has committed to using green energy across these facilities, and unavoidable emissions are offset by three high-quality compensation projects. Furthermore, GROHE continues to advance sustainability efforts across its entire value chain.

LIXIL’s inclusion in the DJSI World reinforces its leadership in both sustainability and innovation within the water and housing sectors.
