Three renowned designers, Sebastian Herkner, Bertrand Lejoly, and Christian Werner, were invited to develop their own bathroom range with Duravit. Now, they are presenting these in a completely new context – while providing an insight into their creative process.
Three designers, three unique approaches
Sebastian Herkner uses a shingled wall stained in grey as wall panelling, providing a completely new backdrop for his Zencha range. The spacious floor plan perfectly showcases the contrast between the dark bathroom furniture and the light ceramic. The iconic, freestanding Zencha bathtub forms the centrepiece of the aesthetic concept.

With walls in moss green and a symmetrical room plan into which the D-Neo range blends elegantly, Bertrand Lejoly’s bathroom (below) is designed as a special place of retreat that satisfies the most exacting standards. The SensoWash shower-toilet, also from the D-Neo series, provides additional convenience and enhances the
aesthetic vision with functional comfort.

Christian Werner’s bathroom (below and very top) surprises with its warm clay plaster, a striking feature that exudes a unique warmth in combination with his Vitrium bathroom range. The back-lit furniture fronts, in particular, complement the lighting mood and are emphasized by the material choice of the bathtub and washbasin. Each designer took a very different approach to the brief of creating a homely bathroom with a certain je ne sais quoi.

Infinite possibilities and elegant details
The designer’s individual signature can be seen in the materials selected for their bathrooms – materials that are very distinct from one another and create a completely unique atmosphere. All three forgo conventional tiles on walls and floors. Instead, they opt for sophisticated wood, unique stone floors, and personalized wall design to demonstrate limitless design opportunities in the bathroom. Textiles, stylish yet functional accessories, and the accentuated use of light sources complete the homely ambience.
