The Aurelia collection, designed for Rubinetterie Treemme by Danilo Fedeli, reinterprets classical forms with modern shapes and proportions, creating a stark and sculptural effect for each piece.
The collection was designed to be timeless, always on trend and ideally suited for many types of bathrooms.
The concept showcases light and its reflections through incisions on cylindrical surfaces. The result is a fusion of lines in a refined and elegant balance.
Aurelia is a complete collection of single-lever faucets made of brass and available in 12 finishes. This wide range of colours makes the design as versatile as a chameleon.
Leading bathroom manufacturer, Ideal Standard, has announced the latest addition to its i.life B range – a Glossy Grey finish is available on a selection of i.life B’s vanities, toilets, and bidets.
Designed in collaboration with the Italian studio Palomba Serafini Associati (PS+A). The entire collection is built to be flexible, offering various models for both large family bathrooms and smaller ensuites.
Ideal Standard’s Singular™ approach ensures compatibility since any of Ideal Standard’s portfolios can be brought together to create tailored solutions without compromising.
The manufacturer offers matching furniture options and shower trays in grey, with various models to suit any space. Partnering perfectly with the glossy grey finish, Ideal Standard’s range of Silk Black fittings, accessories, and shower enclosures enable customers to create a fully coordinated look. Equally, the new grey ceramics can be combined with Ideal Standard’s wide range of brassware collections in chrome or durable PVD colours for fully tailored solutions and truly cohesive space.
i.life B also boasts powerful flushing technology, while the lack of an overhanging rim means these WCs are easier to clean for a more hygienic space.
Making the installation process more accessible, the innovative EasyFix+ installation system means wall-hung toilets can be installed faster and by just one person – saving time and resources.
Ideal Standard’s UK marketing director, Leanne Martin said: “The i.life bathroom collection provides a smart, adaptable collection where design, comfort, and hygiene all come together. No matter the size or shape of your bathroom, i.life can bring style to any space, and the addition of Glossy Grey to this range offers a contemporary and sophisticated look.”
WATERTRAIN® is a new flexible kit that speeds up the design process for tap manufacturers, providing all the required pipework for various tap shapes and sizes.
WATERTRAIN® is also pre-approved by IAPM and KIWA, saving manufacturers the time and cost of gaining individual product approvals and offering reassurance on quality.
Watertrain® is a standard polymer waterway that can be installed into taps of any shape or material, and it uses established technology that separates the tap body from water contact, preventing any migration of toxic metals from the faucet body into the drinking water. It provides the tap manufacturer with a safe, hygienic, flexible, and cost-efficient waterway from angle valve to aerator.
The polymer tubes can be cut to length to fit various sized tap bodies giving great flexibility and it enables the manufacturer to keep less stock by standardising components. There is no need for the additional cost of plastic moulding tools, due to the flexibility of the cut-to-length polymer tubes. They are also simple and fast to assemble using snap and push fit connections. This new Watertrain® will work on washbasin, kitchen or touchless taps and with a selection of Neoperl aerators offering optimised performance for stream pattern and flow rate.
Martin Doll, systems category manager at Neoperl said of this innovation “Watertrain® is a self-contained standalone waterway for faucets/taps. It is pre-approved by institutes so our manufacturer customers can use it for any taps that they are producing. They no longer need to seek separate approvals for hygienic drinking water or for the mechanical tests. So, it offers a full-service package for our customers and that’s very attractive. When demonstrated at the ISH trade show the response was tremendous.”
At Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, Ideal Standard unveiled a plethora of new ranges at its London Design and Specification Centre (LDSC), including additions to Atelier Collections such as the new Solos range.
Launching in October 2023, this year’s highlight was the minimalist Solos range characterised by its sleek lines and defined edges. Part of the design-led Atelier Collections, the visually-striking collection features basin and fitting, as well as a range of showering solutions.
As well as exploring the latest products, visitors were also able to take part in a drop-in pottery workshop with London based ceramics studio, Social Pottery, and contributed to the creation of a ceramic tile display, between 2-4 pm on Wednesday 24th May.
Yiota Toumba, senior designer at Ideal Standard, said: “Clerkenwell is one of the most important design events of the calendar.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase our new solutions, as well as highlight how we are integrating sustainability into products with ranges like Alu+. We’re also excited to discuss our new ESG report, as well as how sustainability is influencing the future of design.
Ideal Standard has launched its new Gusto tap range, designed specifically for kitchens. Gusto marks Ideal Standard’s latest expansion into the kitchen sector, offering a versatile, practical and premium solution to its growing portfolio.
The Gusto collection has been developed and designed with immense attention to detail, supported by over 100 years of knowledge and innovation in brassware, which has placed Ideal Standard firmly at the forefront of the bathroom and washroom sector. These new taps offer a striking Italian aesthetic – provided by design powerhouse Palomba Serafini Associati (PS+A) and its Founder and Chief Design Officer of Ideal Standard Roberto Palomba – helping to create a solution which perfectly complements contemporary kitchens.
The range is also available in Ideal Standard’s bespoke finishes and PVD (physical vapour deposition) colour options including chrome, silver storm, brushed gold, magnetic grey and brushed copper, enabling it to pair perfectly with a variety of colour palettes as well as offering enhanced protection from everyday wear and tear.
German-engineered and manufactured in Europe, the collection is built to last with its FirmaFlow® cartridges capable of hundreds of thousands of use cycles. Installation has also been considered when it comes to Gusto, with the entire range featuring EasyFix+ fixations, which are up to 50% faster to install than standard fittings.
The innovation doesn’t stop at installation though, as Gusto is packed with sustainable technology, such as BlueStart®, which cleverly dispenses only cold water when the tap is opened in the central position, resulting in energy savings of up to 50% and preventing scalding for a cost-efficient, safer mixer. Additionally, the IMX models feature an integrated soap dispenser, helping create a neater kitchen worksurface, while making it simpler to clean hands, which is all important for food preparation.
Speaking on the range, Stacey Seagrave, Senior PM of Non-Residential Fittings at Ideal Standard, said: “We are really excited for our Gusto launch, as it is a prime example of what we can offer the kitchen sector, combining some of our most innovative technology with the design prowess of Roberto Palomba.
“The extensive range offers something for everyone and, with the variety of colours on offer can add an extra flair to the kitchen as well as reassurances on reliability and practicality.”
Offering even more flexibility, Gusto is available in a number of elegant one-hole, two-hole and exposed models, including Gusto Square, Gusto Round, Gusto IMX and Gusto Semi-Pro, all of which feature pull-down and pull-out options as well as dual spray modes. These variations let users easily wash and clean plates and cookware, switching between regular water flows and spray action at the press of a button.

Abode, distributor of kitchen taps, sinks & showering solutions has extended its iconic Kite Bathroom Collection basin, bath and shower brassware, with the addition of a new wall-mounted basin mixer in Antique Brass, dubbed the must-have metal for 2023.
Paul Illingworth, design manager at Abode explains, “With the emphasis on luxury continuing to define a large portion of the bathroom, we have a noted a rise in demand for warm metallic finishes with brass becoming the most desirable metal in 2023. Bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary interior styles, brass even in its raw state, has the ability to be paired with almost any material such as marble and porcelain through to concrete and wood.
Abode Kite Collection
“We are really excited to expand our bestselling Kite range to give interior designers and homeowners even more choices when it comes to creating a luxurious space with our premium high-specification collection.”
The Kite Bathroom Collection is handcrafted in Italy and inspired by the classic elegance of the Chesterfield sofa made popular in the Victorian era. The diamond embossed handles introduce a signature style across a complete range of basin, bath and shower brassware and cater for a growing appetite for original product innovations.
Leanne Adamson, marketing manager at Abode says “As brass continues to gain momentum in the marketplace, we are finding that the type of finishing techniques such as brushed or antique, and the authenticity of each precision-engineered component, are helping to keep this material fresh and modern in today’s bathroom space. Adding an extra layer of luxury, highly decorative brassware that naturally depicts vintage style references like the timeless checkerboard pattern, has become a great way to embrace authenticity for both the discerning homeowner and the exacting design professional.”
The new Kite wall-mounted Basin Mixer in Antique Brass is priced from £299 including vat and is available to buy from 1st March 2023.
Sophisticated by design, the 2-hole wall-mounted model measures 240mm x 65mm with a spout reach of 175-210mm and 5-years warranty for added peace of mind and quality assurance.
Other models in the collection include a Kite Basin Mixer H193mm, Kite Tall Basin Mixer H333mm, Kite Deck-mounted Bath Panel Valves (pair), Kite Concealed Thermostatic Shower Valve (2 Exit), and complementary shower heads & arms, bath & basin clicker wastes and overflows.
Hygiene has become increasingly important during the last few years, so when KEUCO developed their IXMO Sensor series of touchless taps they included a number of additional benefits that ensured the product was easy to clean and had a reduced flow rate, making it more sustainable too.
Flow rate is set at 5 l/p/m but is adjustable, with a flow time of one second to a maximum of 10 seconds until switch-off, enabling economical and resource-saving water consumption. The water temperature is adjusted via a small lever on the back of the free-standing fitting model. If permanent temperature control is not desired (for example in some public areas), the adjustment pin can be removed after the initial setting. A special blanking plug can be fitted to cover the access. For the wall-mounted fitting, the temperature is adjusted in the under-sink box, under the washbasin.
The IXMO Sensor taps are extremely versatile, they can be combined with a wide range of washbasin styles. They are available in chrome plated or matt black; as either a freestanding or wall-mounted variant. They have dual-feed fittings but are suitable for use as a single feed with blended water delivered from a TMV.
The taps have a ‘cleaning stop’ function, by covering the sensor for several seconds prevents the tap from flowing for 180s enabling the product and surrounding basin, mirror, and other surface areas to be cleaned effectively.
All the mixers have a range of programmable functions including cleaning stop; automatic flushing; adjustable detection zone and adjustable run-on time following use. The functions can be set manually or via an app. when fitted in combination with the IXMO Bluetooth receiver (optional), however, this is only possible to install with the mains powered fittings.
Both the surface and wall-mounted options can be mains powered, but the free-standing option is the only model which can be supplied as both battery or mains powered. The battery is a 6V CRP2 lithium-ion type which has an approximate lifespan of 3 years or 200,000 uses. The battery housing is to be fixed to the wall underneath the basin and is easy to source and replace. This combination of intelligent technology and elegant design make these taps perfect for a variety of locations within the hospitality, hotel and even healthcare sector.
