Flair Showers has launched a new collection of shower doors, Verve PRO. The range boasts innovatively engineered components to ensure easy installation that is hassle-free and safe for trade professionals. Showcased for the first time in the UK at InstallerSHOW 2024, Verve PRO shower doors are a key range in the new Flair PRO Essential Collections.

Verve PRO is a collection of 1900 mm high shower doors constructed with 6 mm thick Clearvue glass that benefits from a contemporary look and feel. Clearvue is a hydrophobic protective coating that resists grime and limescale build-up on the surface to ensure the glass remains spotless and sparkling. The new range includes corner entry structures and quadrants, sliding, bi-fold and pivot doors. They are available in Black or Silver finishes, meaning there is an easy-fit shower door for every style and space.

Engineered specifically for trade professionals, the new affordable shower doors boast Flair’s Click-Fit PRO Assembly System that removes the need to fit screws when assembling the product frame, which results in quick and easy-to-follow installation. Once the vertical and horizontal profiles have been aligned, the installer can smoothly assemble the shower door frame directly onto the tray. A secure screw-free joint is formed by sliding the pre-assembled Click-Fit PRO bracket into place and snapping the hook into the access port. Further benefits for installers include up to 50 mm door adjustments and 30 mm wall profile extensions to ensure a seamless installation, and every Verve PRO door style is fully reversible for either a left or right-hand installation.

Featuring solid chrome or black plated handles and cover caps, the Flair Verve PRO shower doors have been designed to offer a high-quality, contemporary design at a cost-effective price. The sliding door structures within the range benefit from double-wheel rollers with stainless steel ball bearings, delivering an effortless sliding experience. The quick-release double rollers enable the user to easily release the glass door from the bottom rail for cleaning, and the high-quality stainless steel ensures the longevity of the product, too. The bi-fold shower doors benefit from a positive magnetic closure, ensuring a smooth opening and closing of the door.

Ronan O’Grady, lead product designer at Flair Showers, says: “With ease of assembly a top priority, a variety of design options and the utmost trust in the product’s quality, installers can confidently recommend Verve PRO every time. Easy and quick to construct, we have designed our innovative Click-Fit PRO Assembly System to eliminate the need for trade professionals to fasten screws into the shower frame, which is time-consuming, can require multiple installers and a lot of space to construct.

“Perfect for busy bathrooms, our brand new Verve PRO shower door collection is coupled with cleverly designed, functional features that will ensure long-lasting high performance. It offers a range of configurations to suit a wide variety of design requirements, while still providing the end user with a quality shower enclosure that looks good and will stand the test of time. Flawless in its design, Flair Verve PRO is a quality shower door option without the hefty price tag.”

In a conversation with Linda Barker, the renowned interior designer and television personality from the iconic show “Changing Rooms,” Tom Reynolds, chief executive of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), explores the trends reshaping bathroom design in the UK.

Linda, whose creative designs have long captivated audiences and transformed homes, shared her expert insights with delegates in the BMA’s Future of Water Theatre at InstallerSHOW 2024 on elevating the bathroom into a space of comfort, rejuvenation, and style regardless of size.

She highlighted the emerging trend of “humanising” bathroom spaces, which are becoming personalised sanctuaries to unwind and rejuvenate while incorporating sustainable materials and technology. This shift is evident in the growing popularity of features that promote relaxation, such as the positioning of the bath or shower to take advantage of a window view, plants and greenery (artificial can work just as well), curved designs, and innovative panelling. By incorporating these elements, homeowners can create a spa-like atmosphere in their own homes.

Linda also explained that with UK homes getting smaller, making the most of limited bathroom space is crucial. She emphasised the importance of clever design to make small bathrooms appear larger while appreciating the often-tricky task that bathroom installers take on.  One innovative solution is the use of Japanese-style freestanding bathtubs. These compact yet elegant tubs save space and conserve water, aligning with sustainable living practices. Additionally, Linda suggested utilising bold colours and tactile materials to inject personality and warmth into the bathroom. “Pushing the boundaries in the bathroom space is important”, she advised. “Even if consumers want a white bath and toilet, they can incorporate an unusual and bold basin to deliver on an individual’s personality.”

Free-flowing furniture is another trend that enhances the perception of space for small bathrooms. Homeowners can create an airy, uncluttered look by opting for wall-hanging toilets and basins. This approach maximises floor space and makes the room feel more expansive, creating a seamless flow and ensuring every piece of furniture adds to the sense of space.

Designers, installers, and bathroom fitters are crucial in bringing these designs to life. Linda urged these professionals to be brave in their discussions with customers and encouraged them to explore well-designed spaces and be inspired by the range of choices manufacturers offer. By guiding clients towards innovative and personalised design options, a functional yet beautiful bathroom is within everyone’s reach.

Linda’s insights provide a roadmap for transforming even the smallest of bathrooms into luxurious, personalised retreats. By embracing bold colours, tactile materials, and space-enhancing solutions, homeowners can create a bathroom that satisfies the necessities of daily routines and delivers a restful sanctuary. With the right approach, the humble bathroom can become the most rejuvenating space in any home.
