Bigger is better when it comes to bathroom upgrades, according to the findings from the 2025 UK Houzz Bathroom Trends study. Nearly 3 in 5 homeowners are looking to increase the size of their primary bathroom shower during renovations, and walk-in showers are stealing the spotlight. Minimalist styles, eco-conscious upgrades and freestanding vanity units are just a few of the other key trends to note.
In line with these trends, vitrA’s sleek Origin showerhead, hand shower, and shower mixer in Soft Copper pair beautifully with the freestanding Plural furniture by Terri Pecora for VitrA, combining warmth, elegance, and function.

With more floor space to play with, there’s the opportunity to design more luxurious layouts, and double basins are now a smart investment on both practical and stylish levels. There’s also an increased level of awareness of sustainable choices to create eco-friendly spaces – take, for instance, the Recycled Ceramic Washbasin (pictured right), which is crafted from repurposed materials. The basin embodies circular principles and has timeless appeal in a matt taupe finish and available in five shapes including oval, square, round, TV and pebble.

Vanity areas remain one of the biggest focal points in the bathroom, and according to the Houzz study, floating vanity units and freestanding designs are popular choices for homeowners. Minimalist styles, particularly the Scandinavian look with natural materials and textures, are a strong favourite.
