RAK Ceramics showcased RAK-Valet in collaboration with French designer Patrick Norguet during CDW 2023.

The new collection includes washbasins and accessories and was available to view at RAK Ceramics Design Hub, located at 100 St John Street, in the heart of London’s design quarter. Created for designers, architects and developers, it is one of the largest in the area, with 7,276 square feet over two floors.

RAK-Valet goes well with some of the most successful collections proposed by RAK Ceramics, such as their brand-new bathroom fittings and RAK-Joy Uno mirrors.

The RAK-Valet collection is composed of functional elements – available in matt and glossy finishes – that serve as veritable valets and hand us the objects of our daily wellbeing via functional surfaces and stylistic solutions of great visual impact: decorative forms with slender profiles for the washbasin.

Norguet puts on stage a dialogue between light and shadow, between volumes and lines, between elements, forms and materials. A delicate balance that is never disrupted, as each element becomes functional to the user in this ongoing, harmonious exchange. Everything is in the service of the person who experiences the space, everything centres around the dialogue, bearing witness to something magical and unique.

The collection is rounded off by a rich choice of accessories, such as legs and towel holders made of metal, or the practical but extremely elegant ceramic surfaces also designed by Patrick Norguet.

About Patrick Norguet

After completing his design studies at the ESDI, Norgguet was commissioned to design the display windows of two major players in the luxury industry: Yves Saint-Laurent and Louis Vuitton. From these experiences, he gained an understanding of brand identity and the way of showcasing it. Designing Renault’s event stands helped him to hone and apply his synthesis skills to ephemeral architectures.

In 2000, his Rainbow Chair, noticed and produced by Giulio Cappellini, gave him visibility that quickly spread thanks to the international media. He then opened his studio in Paris. His early furniture collections for Bernhardt, Artifort, Offect, Capdell or the French companies Alki and Tolix validated and established his presence at international shows. In 2010, designing one McDonald’s restaurant in France gradually led to a collaboration with McDonald’s Global.

Patrick Norguet has become an emblematic figure of French design. Alias, Arflex, Artemide, Cassina, Emu, Ethimo, Glass Italia, Kristalia, Lea Ceramica, Pedrali, de Padova, and Tacchini quickly recognized his talent and authority and fully involved him in the production process and strives to create long-lasting collections.

About RAK Ceramics

REVA meaning – “the one which connects” is an elegant and functional range of accessories from KEUCO. Accessories are not always the first components that spring to mind when creating a bathroom, but if missing from the room it is immediately noticed. Bathroom accessories, especially free-standing, are more than just useful items, when thoughtfully and creatively designed they bring style, harmony, and individuality to every bathroom design.

The REVA accessories series has been crafted as a clear geometric shape that works with a wide range of furnishing styles and living environments, regardless of fashion trends. They are high-quality with a flawless finish, available with a chrome-plated, or matt black finish which creates a particularly striking finish.

The REVA range includes a harmonious selection of accessories, which are both elegant and extremely practical such as the lotion dispenser; with its practical single-handed operation and white satin-finish inverted glass for easy filling. It is operated from below, there is no risk of water drops dripping from wet hands onto the surface of the dispenser.

Towel holders are available in single and double-arm versions and the toilet paper holder is available with or without a shelf; the REVA toilet brush set with a white satin-finish inverted glass has a removable plastic insert, which is easy to clean, and the toilet brush is always dry due to the drip reservoir.

The shower shelf comes in white or matt black and has a hidden secret – a glass squeegee is invisibly integrated into the design; as details that is both creative and practical. There are two recesses on the side of the shelf, these can be used to hang bathing and showering toiletries. (The shelf is also available without a glass squeegee.)

The REVA grab rail acts as a sturdy support in the bath or shower; the towel holder is available in sizes of 600 mm or 800 mm providing towels of any size enough space to dry away from the wall.

The bath towel rail has a smart detail, a hook on the side of the reverse – not visible from the front can be used to hang items such as a bath sponge. Towels or bathrobes hang securely on the slightly inclined hook and thanks to their solid wall mounting, all KEUCO accessories guarantee comfortable use and durability.

The new collection of black matt bathroom products made by KEUCO is designed to be both elegant and extravagant.

The new Black Selection offers fittings and accessories in a uniform black matt, including matching handles on mirror cabinets. The contrast of the matt black with light tones is particularly powerful and creates a perfectly staged setting in terms of interior design.

The unique feature provided by IXMO enables several functions to be grouped together in one area
creating a clean, chic, minimalist appearance, as only a limited number of the fitting elements are required on the wall. In combination with the extensive range of black matt shower accessories, such as an overhead shower, a hand shower with matching hose, the most desirable shower solutions can become a reality.

The design elements of IXMO in matt black continues through to the washbasin. Available in three styles: Flat, Soft or Pure IXMO provides washbasin fittings to suit different living styles, either as single-lever mixers or wall-mounted fittings. Also in the range is a touch-free IXMO sensor fitting for the washbasin. The entire bathroom can be styled with black matt accents, as the fittings are also available to match the bidet.

HiB Sales Director Ash Chilver said: “Trim offers fantastic flexibility and beautiful styling that so many customers are looking for, for their homes. It was important to us that when designing the Trim mirror, it had a high level of finish but also offered simplicity and versatility. Because it is not illuminated, Trim is ideal for pairing with additional lighting such as wall or pendant lights, to create a dramatic focal point.

“The brushed brass and matt black finishes have both been popular with customers so to be able to offer a non-illuminated mirror that seamlessly matches our accessories ranges is brilliant.”

The Trim Curve and Trim Round ranges are available in 40cm and 50cm options.
