Cumbrian shower products manufacturer KUDOS has added a second warehouse to its Cheshire site. In 2021, the company opened its original new warehouse, expanding the space by 28,000 sq ft and equipping it with an efficient racking system that doubled the pallet storage capacity at the facility. The investment at the time was to house its finished goods stock in a more central location for efficient UK delivery to its customers. In 2024, it was established that to support the company’s growth plans, the warehouse facility would need to be expanded.
The new extension was completed in April, and once fully operational this Autumn, it will facilitate the forecasted range extensions and a broader range of current products, further improving customer service levels.
“This extension has allowed us to not only increase our warehouse space but to streamline our operational flow with the addition of a goods-in specific entrance to the site. It will enable our growth plan for the next financial year and beyond.” Said Kie Hitchcox, Head of Operations at Kudos Showers.
The Sandbach finished goods warehouse facility now totals almost 80,000 sq ft and houses the logistics and marketing teams for the business. It is also home to a 2,500 sq ft showroom and training area where all the business’s latest product collections are on display, including shower doors, walk-in enclosures, shower trays and wetroom systems. It’s a showroom that they encourage their retailers to use to showcase products to consumer and contractor customers, or to book product training for new staff.
Kudos Shower Products has been designing and manufacturing shower products at its Cumbria facility since 1999. Now part of the Ronal Bathroom Group, its showering solutions are sold via KBB showrooms and merchants across the UK.
