Frontline Bathrooms and Smiths Briten have today issued a message of support to those affected by the closure of Waterline following the company’s recent administration announcement.
As two long-established businesses within the KBB sector, Frontline and Smiths Briten acknowledged the scale of impact the closure will have across the industry, from individuals to suppliers and customers alike. Both businesses confirmed they currently have a wide range of vacancies available across distribution, warehousing, commercial, product management, procurement and customer service. Both companies are encouraging those affected by Waterline’s closure to send in their CV.
Darren Allison, managing director of Frontline Bathrooms and Smiths Briten, says: “It is always deeply concerning to see a long-standing name in our industry enter administration and our thoughts are firmly with the people and families directly affected. Many at Waterline have given significant service to the KBB sector and we recognise the talent, skills and knowledge that now face an uncertain future.
“Frontline and Smiths Briten are on a strong path of growth and, as a result, we have a number of vacancies across both businesses. We would like to extend an open invitation to anyone affected to speak to us about current opportunities. While we must follow our standard hiring process to ensure the right fit for every role, we are committed to doing what we can to support colleagues across the industry during this difficult time.”
Frontline and Smiths Briten confirmed that this is not a short-term recruitment initiative, but part of a long-term investment in people as both businesses continue to scale operations, strengthen service performance and support independent retailers and merchant partners nationwide.
Anyone affected by the Waterline closure who would like to explore current opportunities is encouraged to send a CV or contact the teams in confidence to Darren Allison – darren.allison@thebdg.co.uk
