Enveloped in the scent of the ocean, the 1925 neo-Basque villa in the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz twinkles with a revived brilliance. The owner worked with the architect Stéphane Cividini and took pains to retain the regional architecture whilst integrating contemporary elements, creating an ideal family home.
The neo-Basque architectural style, such as the white stucco façades and dark green window frames and shutters, was masterfully preserved, especially on the street side.
The owner placed particular emphasis on the design of the main en-suite bathroom. Accessed directly from the main bedroom, the light-suffused bathroom of 15 m² on the upper floor is a genuine highlight. The pared-down design of the freestanding bathtub and the elegant washing-area solution with the above-counter basin from the Luv collection complements the minimalistic ambience.
The spacious rooms of the villa are in neutral shades, such as white, black, and sand, creating a cosy atmosphere. The outside area has a lush garden with a swimming pool and extensive terraces surrounded by varied vegetation, such as palms and Indian lilac.
Duravit products include the Luv above-counter basins 600 x 400 mm and Luv freestanding bathtub 1800 x 850 mm.
