Launched at the ISH show this year, and available now, Mya is on the display for the UK market at Sleep Event this week.
Mya takes its inspiration from the wooden clothes horse of yesteryear, featuring light, open pieces in natural or dark grey matt oak veneer themed around hanging rails and practical drawers. Matching matt basins are available in white and stunning dramatic black. This idea was also the starting point for the name Mya, which is an acronym for “million years ago”
Although it is a contemporary looking range, its inspiration harks back to the days when home owners living in homes built without a bathroom used freestanding pieces around a fixed bath and basin to create a practical environment. Vanities are reminiscent of the Victorian wash stand but brought right up to date with sleek modern lines and freestanding storage boxes fitted with soft leather pulls. T
“Mya is something genuinely different in bathroom furniture”, says Margaret Talbot of burgbad.
